Lone Wolf

I am alone wolf

In a pack.

I howl at the moon

In the same decibel

As my fellow mates.

So to find me

You need to go beyond

My eating habit

And the color of my fur

See past my lustrous smile

And the reflections of the moon

In my eyes.

To find me,

Sit next to me

When I am alone

And never ask about me

But let us talk of the moon,

The pack and life in general

For my in discourse

You will find me.

  1. I was still mulling over the idea of a lone wolf that is in a pack, the paradox of it, then you hit me with this; for in my discourse you will find me; and now you’ve set me thinking.
    Good stuff.
